GeoMet furniture adds comfort and colour to Leeds railway station

Network Rail is making improvements to Leeds railway station which will make it brighter and improve passenger experience.

As part of their developments, the company called upon GeoMet to add much-needed seating in the waiting areas, plus a splash of colour.

Leeds station is a busy hub for commuters and day-trippers. Network Rail wanted to enhance the passenger experience by offering bright-coloured seating for customers.

GRP seating is ideal for such applications as it can be created in most BS/RAL colours and it's incredibly durable.

The furniture is naturally lightweight, to fulfil Network Rail's brief each item of furniture has been carefully weighted to ensure the seats are sturdy and cannot easily be moved.

Specifying GeoMet seating

Leeds station is an historic venue which benefits from attractive coloured flooring tiles, Network Rail were keen to add more colour to the station, whilst also complimenting its interiors.

Here GeoMet has supplied a range of serpentine seats in bright blue and a zingy lime green to create welcoming meeting spaces, the areas have also been fitted with GeoMet's drum in fuchsia punk to act as a coffee table.

Matching lime green Morph benches have also been specified to provide further seating in the main ticket hall.

Further Serpentine seating in range of bright colours has been specified in areas overlooking the train lines. Here the seats have been placed in a snake-like pattern to give the interior a very modern-look, plus a much-needed amenity.

In other areas lines of 'Cube' seating have been placed to create striking blocks of colour and more places to rest.
