This particular GRP unit was produced on behalf of Tesco and was to act as a containerised plant room.
Due to the size and ventilation requirements of the plant that was to be installed in the unit, our client's requirements were very specific.
The unit was to include double doors with stainless steel hinges, a compression latch, louver vents and a plywood core sandwich between the layers of fibreglass to provide structural strength and easy fixing points.
Additionally, with safety in mind, the floor was made up of our very own slip resistant covered grating.
Following receipt of our client's instructions to proceed with the manufacture, production began and within four weeks the unit was ready for despatch.
As the completed unit measured some 8m x 3m x 3m specialist lifting equipment was required to load the unit in order that it could be transported from our premises in Colchester to its resting place in Devon.
If you have any GRP planet room, bespoke cabinet or housing projects in mind, we would be delighted to here from you no matter how large or small your requirements may be.
