Sui Generis International is delighted to announce the appointment of Rita Cornwell as its new Managing Director. Rita takes over from Andrew Kime, who has moved into a new role as Commercial Director at Milbank Group.
Rita is an experienced finance, operations, and commercial leader with a proven track record of delivering measurable results across manufacturing, OEM, CEM, and B2B environments. She has successfully led business transformation, strategic growth, and cultural change, combining financial expertise with hands-on operational insight across multi-site organisations.
Before joining Sui Generis, Rita was Braintree Site Manager at Oadby Plastics, where she was responsible for leading all operations at the site, including commercial, operational, resourcing, and compliance functions. Prior to this, she spent over six years at Pulsar Measurement, initially as Group Finance Director before being promoted to Manufacturing General Manager, overseeing UK operations across two sites with full P&L responsibility and playing a key role in strategy, ERP implementation, and performance improvement.
Earlier in her career, Rita co-founded and scaled Electro Assembly Services, a subcontract electronic manufacturing business which she grew into a £5.5m turnover operation before its successful acquisition by Pulsar Measurement in 2017.
Speaking on her new appointment, Rita said:
“I am thrilled to join Sui Generis at such an exciting time in its journey. The business has a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service, and I look forward to working with the talented team to build on this foundation. Together, we will focus on sustainable growth, continuous improvement, and delivering exceptional value to our customers.”
Matthew Sparrow, Group CEO at Milbank Group, added:
“We are delighted to welcome Rita to the Milbank Group family. Her wealth of experience in finance, operations, and strategic leadership makes her an excellent fit to guide Sui Generis through its next chapter of growth, ensuring the business continues to thrive. We also extend our thanks to Andy for supporting and nurturing Sui Generis at an important time, leaving it well positioned for the future. We look forward to working further with Andy on both new opportunities and existing businesses in his new role as Group Commercial Director.”
With Rita’s appointment, Sui Generis is well-positioned to continue strengthening its reputation as one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of GRP products, with a focus on innovation, sustainability, and exceptional customer service.
