Safetread™ Flooring is a slip resistant flooring manufactured in the same way as the Stair Covers and Stair Nosing. It is available in standard sized panels 2400mm x 1200mm x circa 3mm thick with light or heavy duty grip. Ideal for use in walkways, work platforms, ramps, wet areas, factory floors, in fact anywhere good slip resistance and traction are needed including areas with heavy duty vehicle activity.

Europe’s leading independent printing company were in need of a replacement flooring for their paper store entrance as the existing flooring’s poor slip resistance meant that the forklift trucks were slipping and damaging the surrounding walls and barriers.
We manufactured the non-slip flat sheet flooring to a specific colour and size as our standard sheet sizes were not suitable. Once on-site the sheets had to be cut around sensors in the floor for the automatic forklift entrance doors. The sheets were sealed together at the joins to prevent them rising or separating.
The installation was so successful that Sui Generis now carry out similar floor refurbishment work for this company during most shutdowns.
