Cooling Towers at IBM
Resins used for lining cooling towers are to BS:6920 and have been subject to microbiological Legionela Prieumophilla growth tests. The necessary nutrients for Legionela growth were found not to exist thus constituting these resins as ideal for the purpose. Preparing substrates for lining/refurbishment works can take the form of various types of blasting, mechanical cleaning, steam cleaning, etching or even a simple brush, depending on the circumstances. Sui Generis take great care in this aspect of any project.
