Our longest standing client was carrying out a review of their suppliers to check whether they were still getting best value for their purchase spend.

When considering Sui Generis, who make numerous GRP components for their tractor cabs and spray units, they decided that maybe they could get them made cheaper elsewhere. Eastern European manufacturers looked good value for money.

Sadly we stopped production and bid farewell to a valuable client.

Our despair was short-lived as within a few months our former client returned. They had certainly got a cheaper job, but the quality of the GRP units was nowhere near the standard they were used to from Sui Generis. We entered into discussions with them to demonstrate our commitment to keep our prices at a reasonable level. It was quite heartening to learn that another UK GRP company had also approached our client, but our prices stood up very well in comparison to theirs.

On a few occasions we have found that clients have left us for what may appear to be a more cost effective option, and of course we understand the business reasons behind this action. However, we have always been pleased to welcome them back, without any hard feelings, when it has been discovered that lower prices do not always equate to the same quality product or service.

We have built our company on building good relationships with our clients; testimony to this is that each month 70% of our order book is repeat business from existing customers. We continue to strive for excellence in product and economy for our clients.
